Hello,

I just returned from a golfing outing in Syracuse New York.  I really suck by the way :).  I was teeing off on a par 4 and slice. :'(  Not my natual slice, a bigger slice that didn't go anywhere. I noticed the club head was very loose, I twisted it off.  I've golfed a few times in the past 6 years and here in Las Vegas it is dry and very hot.   I was wondering anyone know how to repair a golf head?  Would superglue work?  Keep in mind everything I do is halfass :) (just kidding).  I would think superglue would work fine, but it is graphite.

My house is a little messy today I had to clear out a spot to take these pictures  :).  Also sorry my webcam is terrible.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Hi Kjvegas

I broke the shaft on my 5 iron a few years ago in roughly the same place as your wood is broken. It also had a carbon fibre shaft. It was easily replaced with a new shaft in the pro shop at my local golf club. I would not recommend super glue because the club will probably break again. It would be much better to get a new shaft fitted. Please remember to specify how whippy you want the shaft.

Stiffer the better - just ask any TG!!

Hope you get it mended OK.

Cheers

Doggie

Thanks for the help.   The shaft is and head are still fine, they just came loose and I was able to twist them apart.  Probably because my game is so terrible :).  There is probably some glue special for the clubs, I'll probably end up going to the golf shop.  Thanks again

That reminds me of the last time I actually used real wooden woods.  Funny feeling hitting a wood shot and watching as me head splits into 3 different pieces flying down the fairway behind me ball. Figured it was about to time to switch to metal woods. SB

Sounds like me, it sucks when the club goes further then the ball ;D ;D.  The sad thing is this is a metal head.  Thank god for the mulligan.  I am sure all it needs is to be reglued.  The club has been in either my garage or my truck the past 6 years.  It was 108 degrees here in Vegas today, that is hot as hell [smiley=flames.gif]

cheers

P.S. I think the crapy webcam was melted from the Desert heat here are some better photos:

I work for a golf shop part-time to pay for my trips. There is a two-part epoxy that is used to attach golf club heads. Call a couple of golf courses and they can recommend someone that will repair it for about 10 bucks.

KJ...

Buckeye is exactly right.....if the shaft is still in good condition, a pro shop should have no problem using epoxy to put it together.

I used to do many of these repairs at the golf course I worked at (golf pro by trade).

Any more problems....just ask.

Cheers!!
